The Massachusetts Association of Public Health Nurses (MAPHN) is pleased to introduce the new Public Health Nursing Leadership Guide and Resource Manual. Over 6 years ago, a small group of public health nurses met with the previous Commissioner of Public Health, David Mulligan, to ask for Massachusetts Department of Public Health
(MDPH) support for public health nursing. MAPHN requested assistance and funding for a yearly public health nursing conference and help with developing and publishing an orientation manual.
